Nicholas Verrall studied Fine Art and Printmaking at Northampton School of Art. Before becoming a full-time artist he worked as a picture conservationist.
Throughout the 90’s to the present date Nicholas has had regular solo exhibitions at the Catto Gallery, Hampstead. He has also hung at the RA Summer Exhibition 11 times, as well as the RA Upstairs Gallery making prints with the RA Graphics and Curwen Studios.
His work has been exhibited in many international art fairs both in London, France, Hong Kong, Japan and America. Works are held in numerous private and public collections including The City of London and Surrey University. His books and publications include Nicholas Verrall Colour and Light in Oils, Curwen Studios, 1958-1988 and An Introduction to Drawing and Painting Still Life.
Prizes include City of London Annual Prize, de Laszlo Medal and the Stanley Grimm Prize.
Nicholas was elected a member of the RBA 2010 and the ROI 2011.
