Sarah Spackman born 1958, is a contemporary figurative still-life artist. Her work is distinguished
by strength of drawing together with the delicate and subtle use of colour.
Sarah studied at Byam Shaw School of Art 1978-9 and Camberwell School of Art 1979-81.
She is a member of the RBA, ROI, SPG-small paintings group, and the OAS-Oxford Arts Society.
Sarah has exhibited widely both in the UK and abroad.

My paintings are based on the close observation of everyday objects, often things grown in the garden or on the allotment.
I work from life using colour to define the form and space, to capture the essence of the subject as I see it.
