Mick is a well-established painter and printmaker who has work in the National Museum of Wales, The National Football Museum in Preston and in the Museum at the All England Lawn Tennis Club, following his commission as ‘Wimbledon Championship Artist 2008’. His work has been shown in Belgium, Switzerland, South Africa, Germany, South Korea, China and Japan and is in private and public collections worldwide.

There is always a serious undertone to my work, although this is not always recognised by the viewer. I inject humour into the narrative to lighten the content.
My present body of works includes; memories from my Welsh childhood, small sculptures, an ‘Artist’s Book’ and whatever subject takes my fancy – I love not being attached to a gallery, so that I can create what I want when I want. I enjoy the freedom!
I have always believed in helping young artists and have thoroughly enjoyed creating projects to help young artists in schools [RBA Star Students] Further Education Colleges in disadvantaged areas [the RBA Turing Project] and of course the RBA RISING STARS for artists under 35 years – an exhibition I established in 2014 and which continues still.
